The formula
The BTU to Watts formula is P(W) = P(BTU/hr) × 0.29307107. The equivalent division form is P(W) = P(BTU/hr) / 3.412141633. P stands for power. The multiplier is fixed by the BTU definition (1,055.05585 joules) divided by 3,600 seconds per hour.
